@kapkap42@samutsakhonjeff so to clarify ... i would suggest there is no "shortage" of people who want to go to these games. I'm gutted I can't take my kids to experience this history.
it's a shortage of people who can justify those prices and want to go to the game.
@kapkap42@samutsakhonjeff I go with my family to every Canada match in Toronto. We pay $20-$50 ticket. We'll watch them play Ireland in Montreal on Friday for $57.
$1250 for the cheapest ticket ($5k/fam) for the opener is a wild ask. I get it's the WorldCup. but it's also a group stage match vs Bosnia.
JONATHAN OSORIO! GOAL CANADA!
Jonathan Osorio finishes off the chance created by Tani Oluwaseyi's run into the final third. Well done to Oluwaseyi for exposing that space.
Great for Canada to get an open play goal for the first time 6+ months.

@BenSteiner00@schadjoe@MLSist@jeffrueter Do fans want this? Do reporters think it's part of doing a good job to leak these things?
There's more of an effort than ever to make a bit of a show out of these announcements, but instead we get a random twitter post โreporting... "
New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani has secured 1,000 $50 tickets to World Cup games at MetLife Stadium for New York City residents after negotiations with FIFA president Gianni Infantino... and a FaceTime call with former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

Different flags, different places our families once called home ...
... THIS TIME IT'S CANADA"

@RichBucciarelli 8 years ago I was so pumped that my kids would be at an age for some brilliant core memories.
We go to every Canada match in Toronto - $30 supporter tickets - those same seats are over $3k for the opening match.
Guess those memories aren't coming from a live match this time.
@CANSoccerDaily loved it ... some good fun. also made me think the hammy thing is all precautionary. some good jumping, lunging, squatting. he's good! ๐ค
20 - Bruno Fernandes has now equalled the record for most assists in a Premier League season (20), levelling Thierry Henry in 2002-03 and Kevin De Bruyne in 2019-20. Treble.
@MelissaDacruzz@FWC26Toronto That's really sweet ... thanks for the offer.
I actually did end up getting mine for the 13th, but my family who are visiting us that weekend missed out with continued error messages.
Holding out hope that I'll be able to find 4 more for them.
