What could be worse for an educational system’s productivity than reducing the number of days students are taught? If the teachers need more time to plan, so be it, but those additional days should not be taught days removed from the curriculum.

@JeffcoSchoolsCo an additional 3 non-student contact days in ‘24-25 and starting class a day later = almost a week less of schooling for these kids! Pretty hard to see an educational system through the business practice here. Is anyone considering the students??

How about common-sense approaches like adjusting one contact day to National Take Your Kid to Work Day, when a large portion of the student body is already out?
