why aren’t the robots working in the mines and oil fields and handling toxic chemicals or picking plastic out of the ocean? why are they writing emails and making powerpoint presentations? what the hell are we doing
The American prison system has been turned into a rentier system of profit extraction by major corporations and lobbyists. Legalized bribery in the U.S. has enabled business interests to extract tolls from virtually every activity prisoners engage in, such as charging fees for emails to family members, as well as permitting corporations like McDonald's to utilize prisoners for labor while providing them extremely low wages and no benefits. Our government's treatment of these prisoners is a window into the way the American elite sees the rest of us, and the true nature of our profit-driven system.
None of the scholars who are interested in black masculinity when a guy kills his wife will speak on this. But Du Bois and MLK, Jr. argued that the political economy of American society was based on the emasculation of the black male as a father, husband, and potential economic competitor against whites. This is just how America works. But if you point it out, you’re “red pill” or part of Manosphere.
@RalliRally@MikeKeegan_DM And you’d rather burn the whole thing down than just accept consequences? Over these people who clearly wouldn’t piss on you if you were on fire? Regardless of what happens the history is tarnished.
we need to begin decolonizing academia. normalize reading clubs, learning outside the classroom, intellectual organizations, art meet-ups. we cannot let this administration take the arts and humanities from us.

So you mean to tell me that someone down your ancestry line survived being chaıned to other human bodięs for several months in the bottom of a disease-infested ship during the Middle Passage, lost their language, customs and traditions, picked up the English language as best they could while working free of charge from sun up to sun down as they watched babies sold from out of their arms and women rapęd by ruthless sIave owners.
Took names with no last names, no birth certificates, no heritage of any kind, braved the Underground Railroad, survived the Civil Wąr to enter into sharecropping... Learned to read and write out of sheer will and determination, faced the burning crosses of the KƘK, everted their eyes at the black bodies swinging from ropes hųng on trees...
Fought in World Wąrs as soldiers only to return to America as boys, marched in Birmingham, hosed in Selma, jailed in Wilmington, assassinated in Memphis, segregated in the South, ghettoed in the North, ignored in history books, stereotyped in Hollywood...
and in spite of it all, someone in your family line endured every era to make sure you would get here, but you receive one rejection, face one obstacle, lose one friend, get overlooked, and you want to quit?
How dare you entertain the very thought of quitting. People, you will never know survived from generation to generation so you could succeed. Don’t you dare let them down!
It is NOT in our DNA to quit!
MISTY GREEN is proof that no matter how harsh the Hollywood system can be towards Black women, Chris Rock will always find a way to be harsher. Putrid, hateful film.

I went back to actually reading aloud for 30minutes everyday because my verbal dexterity was diminishing! I was rushing through words, not finishing pronunciations plus had a terrible breathing technique when presenting! Glad to report that I have improved so much!
