#Ethereum L2s are entering a new paradigm, and you don't want to miss out on it.

@MetisL2 announced its LSB campaign earlier this month: Liquid Staking Blitz. Essentially, Metis will become the first rollup with native sequencer staking, offering a 20% APR for the first 12 months.

Traditionally, Ethereum rollups have had centralized sequencers, meaning the sole sequencer node accrues all revenue.

But, what if all of this revenue could be shared with token holders?

Hint: It can be.💡

*Introduce @MetisL2 Decentralized Sequencer, which will enable native staking*

Entities will be able to stake 20K-100K tokens to become a sequencer node.

For individual users to participate, several nodes will be allocated to renown LSD platforms. This will allow individuals to participate in the block production process (Sequencer Mining), while keeping a liquid version of their stake that they can keep using on other ecosystem DApps💧

Once the sequencer decentralizes, sequencer revenue will be shared will all stakers. This is important to note because $METIS is far from a governance token at this point: It's a utility token.

$METIS use cases now include:
⛽️Gas
🔐Validation
💰Staking

And there will be a new one announced at @EthereumDenver👀.

Looking ahead, L2 tokens that don't have the capacity to accrue revenue will likely become obsolete, as the opportunity cost of holding these vs. revenue accruing L2 tokens will become too high.

Revenue accruing capabilities will increase overall demand for these tokens, consequently increasing the size of the #MetisEDF.

What does that mean?
A: More rewards for stakers, and grants for #Metis projects.

What does that mean?
A: More demand for $METIS.

What does that mean?
A: Bigger #MetisEDF.

And the flywheel keeps going.🔄

To sum it up:
L2 tokens without revenue accruing capabilities will likely lose market share to those that do have them.

The overall sector (L2s) is about to see a magnitudes of growth during this upcoming bull run, in terms of users, transactions, TVL, and price.

So, why would users only take advantage of price upside? Users AND investors will look for L2 tokens in which they can have both: Potential price upside, and transaction revenue. Anything less than that won't cut it.
