5 keys to courage:
1. Don't suffer imagined troubles
2. Focus on the smallest step you can take
3. Remember difficulty forges you into who you're meant to be
4. Do hard things (habitually)
5. It's ok to ask for help
@jmkorhonen @Fog_0f_War ...unfortunately the powers that be have been steadily degrading our readiness and I'm not really sure how well we'd do nowadays. I don't even have a rifle or ammunition at home anymore, bunkers have been decommissioned. But maybe give recent events that will change again
@jmkorhonen @Fog_0f_War Interesting read, and reminds me of the setup we have here in Switzerland - theoretically. Conscripted armed forces, homes with bunkers, larger communal air raid shelters, bunker "cities" in the mountains, strategically placed demolition charges, Guerilla warfare...
"You can't double your intelligence in one hour, but you can use one hour to write something twice as clear. And ideas that are easy to read and easy to understand will make you seem smarter. The better you communicate, the more intelligent you appear."

We need to redefine "hard work" to include "hard thinking."
The person who outsmarts you is out working you.
The person who finds shortcuts is out working you.
The person with a better strategy is out working you.
Usually, the hardest work is thinking of a better way to do it.
"Fear of failure is higher when you're not working on the problem.
If you are taking action, you are less worried about failure because you realize you can influence the outcome."

"The events of your past are fixed. The meaning is not.
The influence of every experience in your life is determined by the meaning you assign to it.
Assign a more useful meaning to your past and it becomes easier to take a more useful action in the present."

You’re training your nervous system everyday by the way you repeatedly think, by the way you habitually breathe, by the way you frequently move and by the way you consistently live.
You weren’t aware of that then you haven’t been paying attention enough...
You know what to do.
@3YearLetterman@elonmusk $10k would make me a millionaire in Europe? What planet are you living on? At currently CHF .89 exchange those 10k would just about cover my fixed costs for two months 😅
