This weekend, a Dead by Daylight team member awarded in-game content and currency to a creator streaming our game. Although it is not unusual to unlock content to give creators discovering DbD a chance to have a sneak peek at available content, this decision was made without receiving appropriate approvals. Furthermore, the team member's subsequent comments and conduct do not align with Dead by Daylight’s core values.

When concerns about this decision became apparent during the stream, we should have responded by looking into these concerns, not dismissing them.

Unfortunately, we’ve now seen the fallout of this decision unfolding in many conversations across the DbD community. We appreciate and stand with our community’s willingness to ensure our shared values are being upheld, at all times, regardless of popularity, and we’re heartbroken at the inflammatory language now being directed towards our community.

At the same time, threatening employees will never be acceptable, and we’re asking everyone to stop engaging with these posts.

We apologize to our community for letting you down. We have already begun reviewing our internal processes to prevent an incident like this from happening again.

DBD was neutral/apolitical for the most part until June 2021 when they added Rainbow Flag Charms during Pride Month and some time later when they retroactively declared that David King is gay - cause initially it was not a public knowledge about David King sexual preferences.

But all of that (and things like Susie, Orela Rose and etc) was done when woke culture was at peak of popularity and some money can be made out of it (and BHVR milked those money) - not because of some moral grandstanding like many of you think.

People talk about weak spineless fathers, but reality of the situation is that by law father has zero authority and 100% responsibility in current family unit in western society. Not only you cannot hit your daughter as a disciplinary measure, you cannot even raise your voice or ground her cause that will count as passive-aggressive and being abusive.

Even wrong look can count as act of 'micro-aggression' so essentially fathers are powerless, especially when mother 'take daughter side' in any argument which they often do cause both mother and daughter are most likely to be feminist and all data pointing out that women overwhelmingly shifting in that direction.

But 100% responsibility is still there and even if you try to discipline your daughter which will result in divorce and mother taking custody of her you as a father still be forced to pay child support or you will end up in jail.

When every institution stacked against you the only logical route is to refuse to get married and have kids until laws are changed.

Daily reminder that many in Star Wars fandom started to realize how unjust and unfair Jedi order really was after Revenge of the Sith dropped, which is why Old Republic and characters like Darth Revan, Darth Nihilus, Darth Bane and Darth Malgus started to become very popular - along with Sith Empire overall.
