@b_petree53736@litcapital@elonmusk It wouldn’t be a loss though because it would still be a massive profit selling the shares at any price close to where we are at now
@revot14@00723maui I care more about player development at this point. Looking purely at the standings without considering any context is a useless way to evaluate
@00723maui Well at their ages forwards are much more predictable than d men generally speaking. Obviously if they both end up as third line quality players than we are screwed but I don’t think that’ll
Happen
@00723maui I mean yea if you take the best player off the team it would be bad. Hard to say who they would have taken if they were second or third though. Obviously probably Fantilli or Carlsson
I really don’t think Kantserov or Frondell of bottom 6. And like I said, if Moore nazar Lardis is your third line, you gotta feel good about that. Rinzel and Levshunov are too early to tell, Kaiser and crevier I think pretty safely project as solid middle pairing guys at this point though.
@00723maui In another reality the ping pong balls fall differently and we end up with Celebrini and bedard instead of picking 2nd overall that year. That would have been a dream
I mean, Lardis kantserov Bedard and Moore in one draft is pretty good. Probably a top 6 and two middle 6 plus bedard obviously. But Kaiser and crevier were both 2020, which just shows how long it takes d men most of the time. 22 draft was mostly not great so far but if Rinzel takes a step like Kaiser did than it’s a different story. 24 and 25 are too early to tell at all. Man did I want Marcel Marcel to turn into a guy just for the name though haha
@00723maui If he doesn’t this summer, it’ll be bad news. Mavrik Bourque is another guy I’d like to see if it was that second line spot. But hopefully he’d be a second piece added and not the headline
Ideal offseason in my mind results in something like
Robertson-Bedard- Kantserov
Bertuzzi- Frondell- Stenberg
Moore- Nazar- Lardis
Donato-Greene- Teuvo
If a young guy isn’t playing well, take one of the vets from the fourth line and plug him in. But I’d see that as a reason to be optimistic. Maybe it’s not Robo and they go for Tuch or Dorofeyev. Heck maybe go for two impact guys.
I mean I don’t think they were good haha but I think there was progress from young players that was good to see. Bedard was clearly better, Frondell looked awesome, Moore improved, Crevier and Kaiser massively improved. Nazar wasn’t as good as I would have hoped for but he’s still likely to be a good player. Lardis improved. Kantserov coming in and hopefully a high end forward and a vet d man would really compliment what’s being built well. I don’t think they were good this year, but it was sure better than the year before.
Right but the rebuild didn’t begin til 22, that’s when the trades started happening. I don’t think he really expected a jump forward two years ago, but this past year I thought was a step forward. They were playing well til bedard went down. Next season you’d really like to see a jump forward. Maybe it’s a little slower than we anticipated but again I don’t think it’s this massive failure. This offseason determines a lot of my opinion though. If there’s no major addition, that’ll be a big issue imo
@TeacherJEvan Something like
Robertson- Bedard- Greene
Bertuzzi- Frondell- Kantserov
Moore- Nazar- Lardis
Teuvo- Donato- Burakovsky
Would love to go get another guy though and shift Greene to the fourth line and buyout Burakovsky
