What a truly appalling comment.

The Falklands War was not a football match, a joke or a slogan to generate attention. It was a real conflict, 44 years ago, in which 255 British service personnel, 649 Argentinian military personnel and three Falkland Islanders lost their lives.

British personnel fought with extraordinary courage to defend the Falkland Islanders and their right to determine their own future. People were killed, others suffered life-changing injuries, and families have lived with the consequences ever since.

The comments coming from some Argentinian political figures have also been inflammatory and irresponsible. That does not justify responding in kind.

This is football. War is not entertainment, and those who died should never be reduced to props for social-media engagement. Your comment to drive traffic to boost your earnings from social media is disrespectful.
