اسپیکر خیبرپختونخوا اسمبلی بابر سلیم سواتی کی ہدایات پر صوبائی اسمبلی سیکرٹریٹ نے ارکان صوبائی اسمبلی، وزراء، مشیران، معاونینِ خصوصی برائے وزیر اعلیٰ اور پارلیمانی سیکرٹریز کی گرفتاری، حراست سمیت ان کی رہائش گاہوں پر چھاپوں، حملوں، تلاشی یا دیگر کارروائیوں سے متعلق ریکارڈ طلب کر لیا۔

صوبائی اسمبلی سیکرٹریٹ کی جانب سے انسپکٹر جنرل آف پولیس خیبرپختونخوا کو ارسال کردہ مراسلے میں گزشتہ دو ہفتوں کے دوران پیش آنے والے ایسے تمام واقعات کی مکمل رپورٹ اور متعلقہ ایف آئی آرز فراہم کرنے کی ہدایت کی گئی ہے۔

مراسلے میں کہا گیا ہے کہ متعلقہ پولیس اسٹیشنز میں ایسے واقعات سے متعلق درج رپورٹس اور ایف آئی آرز کے علاوہ ان افراد کا ریکارڈ بھی فراہم کیا جائے جنہوں نے ان واقعات کی بابت پولیس کو رپورٹ درج کرائی ہے۔

اسمبلی سیکرٹریٹ نے واضح کیا کہ یہ معلومات آئین پاکستان کے آرٹیکلز 66 اور 67، آئین کے آرٹیکل 127، خیبرپختونخوا اسمبلی کے قواعدِ طریقہ کار و ضابطہ کار 2025 اور خیبرپختونخوا صوبائی اسمبلی (اختیارات، استحقاقات و مراعات) ایکٹ 2026 کے تناظر میں حاصل کی جا رہی ہیں۔

مراسلے میں آئی جی خیبرپختونخوا سے کہا گیا ہے کہ مطلوبہ مکمل ریکارڈ فوری طور پر اسمبلی سیکرٹریٹ کو فراہم کیا جائے تاکہ اسے اسپیکر خیبرپختونخوا اسمبلی کے سامنے پیش کیا جا سکے۔

🇵🇰 PAKISTAN has found an extraordinary way to demonstrate how SERIOUSLY it takes PTI’s MARCH:

it has started physically dismantling the normal functioning of its own capital.

More than 1,500 SHIPPING CONTAINERS have been brought in around Islamabad, stacked and in places welded together to block roads ahead of PTI supporters marching for Imran Khan’s release.

Authorities have also detained Khan’s 3 sisters and hundreds of party activists.

Some of those containers weren’t simply rented. According to reporting in Pakistan, police seized trucks and containers already carrying commercial cargo, disrupting freight traffic in the process. Keeping 1,550 containers alone is expected to cost Rs46.5 million per day.

And then PTI changed the equation.

The march, originally due to begin September 27, has BEEN PUSHED TO October 4. PTI spokesman Zulfi Bukhari put the resulting problem rather neatly:

“How long they’re willing to keep the country closed off?”

That may now be the more interesting test.

PTI postponed the march by a week.

Islamabad has to decide whether to keep living behind the barricades for one.

🇵🇰 There is now a very specific question hanging over ALEEMA KHAN'S DETENTION:

Was she arrested BEFORE the state had completed the process AUTHORIZING HER ARREST?

In a new statement, Imran Khan's sister Rubina Khan lays out the family's case against the 30-day MPO detention of Aleema Khan, Dr. Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi.

The most striking allegation is chronological.

Aleema was taken into custody on the morning of September 20.

Her lawyers argue that the police report, intelligence committee process and detention order used to justify that custody were completed only afterwards.

They are effectively accusing the state of doing the arrest first and constructing the legal basis for it second.

There are other alleged discrepancies.

The family says Aleema's detention order cites a 2023 FIR but attributes it to the wrong police station. It also says the same Jinnah House case was used despite police having previously cleared Aleema and Uzma of involvement.

Those are claims now being litigated, not findings by the court.

And that distinction matters because the Lahore High Court has so far declined to immediately suspend the detention orders and has instead demanded responses from the authorities.

So beneath all the politics surrounding Sunday's PTI march is a much narrower legal question with enormous implications:

What exactly existed on paper at the moment these women lost their freedom?

🇵🇰 This may be one of the MOST DISTURBING videos to emerge from PAKISTAN'S CRACKDOWN on PTI

It was reportedly recorded by the 10-year-old son of MNA Zubair Khan Wazir from inside a bathroom, where he had been locked while men RAIDED THE FAMILY HOME and TOOK HIS FATHER away.

The boy records himself as the raid unfolds outside. PTI says family members were held hostage, while WOMEN inside the house were FORCIBLY DRAGGED.

Wazir was subsequently arrested.

There are serious allegations that intelligence agencies were behind the operation.

What requires no political interpretation is the child in this video.

A 10-year-old, hiding in a bathroom, filming and hearing what was happening while his father was being taken from his home.

This is the most horrifying thought of all of this.

In accordance with the law passed by every assembly in Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, I wrote to the Inspector General of Police and the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) that my office must be informed before any arrest is made, precisely to avoid any mishap or panic. This is my constitutional duty. As the custodian of the House, the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa expect me to protect the rights of their elected representatives.
International media and human rights organisations continue to document the rampant violations of human rights and other excesses that are defaming Pakistan’s name across the world. Yet none of this seems to bother you in the least.
Selective outrage over one province’s rules while remaining silent on these excesses undermines the very principle of “equality before the law” that is being invoked. Rhetoric about Riyasat-e-Madina rings hollow when it is used as a political weapon rather than as a call for consistent application of the law across the federation.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly remains committed to the Constitution, the rule of law, and the dignity of the people’s representatives. We will continue to discharge our constitutional duties without fear or favour. I am a student of history and I study history. I request you to also study history.
