JUST IN: Sarasota police releases video of a crash between an officer's patrol car and an 8-year-old boy riding a dirt bike

The officer was responding to another call when the crash with 8-year-old Gerard Butler happened

Gerard was taken to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital after the incident

His mother, Regina Sanders, said that he has undergone two brain surgeries, knee surgery, and has jaw surgery scheduled

After the crash, the officer performed chest compressions on Gerard

Minutes later, responders carried Gerard to an ambulance
