@Yooper_IA He has $20M guaranteed for 2026, so it would be tough to land more per season in the free agent market. I doubt he would get more than 2 years, so yeah probably sticking around one more year. That would give the Tigers 3 starters with just one year of control left.

@ChrisBrown0914 Agree...but their top guys have mostly been All-stars already. I would not be shocked if Rodriguez is in 2025 and one of the OF's hits their way there too. Eventually, the %'s will start moving the other way. Easily could be Basallo or Mayo going to 1st. More pressure on bats.

If further away, trade Skubal. Greene, Carp, Keith, Jung, Vierling are here & vets in 2027. Skub and Mize r gone. Clark & McG slide in w/out pressure.

@BenVerlander @FlippinBatsPod @MLBONFOX @Alex_Curry I understand the issue...but they did hire a new staff and then a new Pres of Ops in 2022. Tork was in the Majors in April 2022. It could be the old dev team or Covid hurt him sitting for 2020 until 2021 Spring. Also, maybe the player is slow to make changes?
