@rationalyankee Adding a guy like Peralta makes sense, but at what cost? Essentially every pitcher in the league is a lottery ticket to some degree. I understand that you don’t make decisions based on that but I would rather take my chances with having 1 or 2 of our 5 lottery tickets pan out
@rationalyankee Fried
Cole
Schlittler
Rodon
Warren
Weathers
Gil
Schmidt
Rodriguez
Lagrange
But it’s imperative for the Yankees to upgrade the starting pitching.. why? Yes I know not everyone is healthy to start the season but that list of names provides an abundance of depth as well as upside
@Chris_NYY28 The roster was in such bad shape in ‘23 that, essentially, the addition of 1 guy helped them make it to the World Series the very next year….
@rationalyankee I guarantee that the farm system looks completely different by the deadline. There will be pieces to move. And the versatility of Bellinger and Jazz will let them add at basically any position.
@Christian_NYYST Here for a healthy debate brother, I can read, and what I read was literally a comparison. I understand the frustration but it’s way to early to write this kid off
Now, for contrast, look at statues from the Ancient Roman Republic, in this case from the 2nd and 1st centuries BC.
The difference is striking. There is no idealisation here, no attempt to portray human beauty. These are the real faces of real people, warts and wrinkles and all.
@Christian_NYYST I’m all for spending, we need the upgrades, but when are people going to wake up and realize that Correa is not an elite hitter!! Let’s get some real bats, Freeman has got to be the guy
