@tennismd7 @print__head By the way, when you pivot to vague platitudes without substantively replying to or even acknowledging the ideas expressed by your interlocutor, it's kind of, well, off-putting and not productive.
@tennismd7 @print__head It is a fairly small minority of americans who are aware of reality, much less willing to incur any personal cost in pursuit of change. The Dum-Dum Left who believe that AOC is a corporate donor-owned politician are not included in this 'aware' minority.
Ms Rachel will not be stopped.
“Be so ashamed of your anti-Palestinian racism… We need everyone to say something. It’s never been wrong to say not to starve children and not to bomb children, and not to kill 15,000 children. What’s wrong is to be silent.”
Last week, I was expelled from @Columbia for protesting the U.S.-backed genocide in Gaza. As president of @SW_Columbia , Columbia’s student workers union, I was also fired from my job. The Trump administration is pushing their narrative. Here’s the real story. 🧵
Ranjani Srinivasan’s case is a terrifying escalation in the criminalization of speech. A PhD student & Fulbright scholar—she had her visa revoked, was branded a “terrorist sympathizer” without evidence, & ICE hunted her down. Her crime? Signing letters & sharing posts on Palestine.
This is a blatant violation of due process. She was given no chance to contest her visa revocation—just targeted, smeared, & forced to flee. The First Amendment is meaningless if the government can weaponize immigration laws to silence dissent.
ICE now storms campuses over minor infractions. This is selective enforcement—retaliation against pro-Palestinian voices and those sympathetic to the Palestinian cause. Labeling a student a “terrorist” with no proof is state repression, setting a precedent where protest = persecution.
Ranjani fled to Canada. Mahmoud Khalil is in ICE custody. The message is clear: speak out & you will be criminalized, detained, or deported.
i know that columbia relies HEAVILY on barely-compensated, precariously employed adjuncts (that’s why i dropped out of a grad program there) but i think that professors of all kinds should not underestimate their power, both administrative and aesthetic
So with Ethan & his irate fans STILL freaking out & alledging that everyone that's ever criticized him is responsible for CPS being called-- are we REALLY going to forget how he baited TF out of his fans to call immigration on Hasan's supposed undocumented housekeeper weeks ago?
