@prinzrob@maringov Marin doesn't lack for resources, it lacks the political will since leaders know they live in the bastion of NIMBYism (working among many friends to fix that, but it's a journey)
@prinzrob@maringov Almost the same population as Santa Cruz County and look at the accomplished! Agree that it's a messed up competitive system now, but under the rules of the game some have learned to play it well
@Pflax1 Front light, rear light (with radar), computer, phone, camera(s), dyno, sound system, electric horn, airtag tracker ... what am I missing? (Not that I have all these things)
@JamesKuszmaul@WarrenJWells I'm increasingly convinced it's the latter. Actually it's more "practice" than "policy" since it would be poor form to put it in writing ;)
https://t.co/m4AgGpxF6e has had success in California getting reckless driving and assault charges, but it's an uphill battle.
@WarrenJWells Would be awesome to have in @CityofSausalito at Bridgeway & Princess. The N/S crosswalk is twice as long as it needs to be. Plus, benefit to drivers: the light can cycle fast since they don't have to plan for such a long pedestrian walk.
@WarrenJWells Caltrain to ferry is my prime example of multimodal. It's pretty much a deal killer to wait for muni or walk as a commute, but bike makes it doable.
