A polite putdown of Rahul Gandhi by Dipankar Bhattacharya, reminds Congress that resistance to colonial rule had communists, socialists & Ambedkarites in it. The larger point lands: a broadbased movement is needed to amplify people's everyday struggles
A masterclass in political essaying by @Dipankar_cpiml. It is refreshing to read a leader who genuinely wields his own pen with such profound clarity. His call for the INDIA bloc to ground its politics in grassroots movements—from the historic farmers' struggles to the defense of constitutional values—is a reminder that real democracy is built from the soil up. @cpimlliberation@cpimlpkc@RahulGandhi #Democracy #resistance #Secularism
AILAJ believes that the SC judgment in Chinthada Anand fails to recognise the oppressive and caste-steeped social reality of Dalit Christians/Muslims, and is a missed opportunity and a setback to the Constitutional promise of equality & dignity to all.

Like Mirzapur, adjacent district Sonebhadra is also witnessing large scale forcible eviction of Adivasis and other farmers. Activists of All India Kisan Mahasabha and @cpimlliberation today took out a march in Adivasi areas of Sonebhadra and reached out to affected villagers.
Oracle Layoffs| Raja Ram Singh, CPIML Liberation MP has written to the Ministry of Labour and Employment demanding action against Oracle Corporation for massive job retrenchments in India. The silence of the Union Government poses a grave danger to the job security of millions working at the mercy of these large corporations in the IT industry.
No Tau Sir, High Courts are not demoralised if you entertain petitions against their state CMs. It spares them the blushes. They have to work closely with them to keep the courts working. What demoralises HCs is when judges are transferred from one HC to another for passing bold orders and when judges are elevated or denied elevation to the SC for reasons other than merit…but you already know that! 😜
We must congratulate @mkstalin for asking for a structural reset of India's federalism. India is a union of states and not just the state of the union.
The casteist JNUSU VC has to go! @SathiDhananjay former JNUSU President and student of JNU moves National Commission on Scheduled Castes against casteist comments made by JNU VC. He demands registration of FIR and removal of JNU VC.
Formation of parliamentary groups to promote inter-parliamentary exchange and interaction has been an established practice since the beginning of parliamentary democracy in India. The Modi government is misusing this parliamentary convention as a foreign policy arm of the government to camouflage the government's policy failures and betrayals.
The latest announcement of formation of several dozen groups comes at a time when the government is on the dock for undermining the interests of India's farmers and the cause of India's strategic autonomy by inflicting a Trump-dictated trade deal on the country. The petroleum minister of the Modi government, Mr Hardeep Singh Puri continues to hold office even after his admitted complicity with the infamous Epstein network. And to top it all, the Speaker himself faces a no-confidence motion for his utterly partisan conduct and systematic stifling of the opposition voice and avoidance of any meaningful parliamentary debate.
The government must defer the formation of groups till the no-confidence motion is discussed and stop linking these parliamentary platforms with the government's own agenda.

Defying large scale house arrests, hundreds of @cpimlliberation activists from across UP still managed to reach Lucknow to raise a strong voice of protest against the bulldozer raj and utter misrule of the Yogi government. More power to UP comrades in this fight for justice.
Attempt to Throttle Democratic Voices: CPI(ML) Condemns House Arrest of Leaders Ahead of Feb 23 UP Assembly March
Lucknow, February 22: CPI(ML) Liberation strongly condemns the action of the Uttar Pradesh police in placing party leaders under house arrest in various districts across the state on the eve of the February 23 Assembly March in Lucknow. This arbitrary action, carried out ahead of a peaceful democratic mobilization against bulldozer raj and other pressing public issues, is nothing but repression aimed at throttling democratic dissent.
In a statement, CPI(ML) UP State Secretary Sudhakar Yadav said that police reached the residence of Comrade Devashish, District Secretary of the party in Pilibhit, who was preparing to march to Lucknow with comrades, and placed him under house arrest. Similarly, Comrade Arjun Lal, District Secretary of Sitapur and a Zila Panchayat member, has also been detained at his home. Similar reports are being received from other districts as well.
The February 23 march has been called to raise urgent and long-pending demands of the poor, workers, peasants, students and marginalized communities. These include an end to bulldozer-driven evictions; guaranteeing land rights for the poor; ensuring freedom from crushing debt; protecting forest rights; implementing the UGC Equity Regulation 2026; granting government worker status and proper wages to ASHA and other scheme workers; and restoring and strengthening the MGNREGA. The march also calls for the expansion of employment opportunities, the protection of constitutional and democratic rights, and several other pressing demands of the people.
The State Secretary stated that people distressed by the government’s policies are coming on Monday to peacefully present their demands before the state’s highest democratic forum — the Legislative Assembly. “What is the government afraid of? Why are leaders being stopped in the districts?
The CPI(ML) demands that all leaders and activists placed under house arrest be released immediately and that they be allowed to participate freely in the February 23 Assembly March. Any attempt to curb peaceful democratic assertion will only strengthen the resolve of the people to defend their constitutional rights.
No crazy pseudo-journalist humiliating Dalits about drinking water, it's the JNU VC saying Dalits are drugged with 'victimhood'! If the Supreme Court is watching, this is evidence enough to infer why we need #UGCEquityRegulations and why this VC must be asked to quit forthwith.
