So this happened today!! Words cannot express the excitement that I feel and the gratitude that I have right now. Thank you to our district, our staff, and students for the support & work they’ve done to help transform teaching and learning in our building.
@PowderSpringsES kindergarten worked as individuals in 6 different classes, using different mediums, in order to create this collaborative DOT DAY Display! They couldn’t believe their eyes when they walked in this morning! Toree Ellis did a fantastic job piecing it together.
@kara_remington I think it is always a great idea to engage in a discussion with students about how they feel or what they would do if something they are learning about happened to them. It is a great way to learn more about the students!
#KSUECE4410#booksnapweek4 “Out of the Box: Critical Literacy in a First-Grade Classroom” Critical literacy is a great way to promote student learning within difficult issues that many students are concerned with!
@_mariabarnett I think projects are a great way to extend student’s learning. I think incorporating technology is a great way for students to make connections and form a deeper meaning of the content!
@melissalvs2teac I love when teachers use collaborative learning because it allows them to start learning how to work together, listen to their peers’ thoughts and ideas in a respectful manner. This is a skill that will follow them later in their education career and in future job opportunities
@mrsebuchanan12 Emily, thank you for taking the time to highlight how important this is. I think every one needs to be aware of how important it is for young students to work on improving their literacy skills. These skills will follow them into their later education career!
