🚨Russia Just Lost Its Crew Launch Capability First Time in 60 Years

The Soyuz MS-28 launch from Baikonur didn’t just have an incident, the entire mobile service cabin collapsed during liftoff, tearing up the only functioning pad Russia has left for sending humans to the ISS.

Footage shows a heavy metal structure still sitting in the exhaust duct a component that should’ve retracted long before ignition. It didn’t and the rocket lit anyway resulting in catastrophic pad damage.

Soyuz and Progress missions are paused indefinitely.
Russia has, for the first time since the early 1960s, lost the ability to launch its own astronauts.
ROSCOSMOS says they have spare parts, but they’re not giving a timeline, I would estimate a minimum two years.
The entire world just watched the last pillar of Russia’s human spaceflight reliability literally fall through the floor.
