While Somaliland proudly raised the US flag on buildings and showed full solidarity and support, Somalian soldiers in Mogadishu publicly dragged the American flag through the dirt.
This reveals the stark difference — Somalia hates America despite the US giving billions of taxpayers' dollars each year since its collapse. Somaliland respects and stands with the USA.

This courageous and historic decision stands as a testament to the resilience, political maturity, and unwavering aspirations of the people of Somaliland. For more than three decades, our nation has remained steadfast in its commitment to peace, democracy, stability, and the democratic expression of the will of its people. Somaliland will never forget this historic gesture of friendship, mutual respect, and principled recognition.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met today with the President of the Republic of Somaliland, His Excellency Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi, at the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem.
