WHO IS JOHN?
John is a 500L medical student at the University of Jos, born with a hearing impairment. Despite the challenges, he went through secondary school, relied on hearing aids, and eventually earned his place in medical school.
Today, his hearing has deteriorated severely. His hearing aid is no longer enough, making clinical interactions and oral examinations increasingly difficult.
A cochlear implant could change everything. The implant, worth over โฆ30M, has been offered FREE by a doctor from the US. But the surgery and specialised equipment require โฆ5M.
JUMSA is raising โฆ2.5M to help John hear, continue his training, and become the doctor he has always dreamed of becoming.
Help John hear. Help raise a doctor. โค๏ธ

JUMSA | Consolidating Excellence
Ten lazy years can disappear the moment you lock in. Six months of discipline can erase a decade of drifting. Momentum is magic. It turns yesterday's failures into tomorrow's fuel.
Thrilled to have completed my 4-week medical elective at Royal Preston Hospital, United Kingdom.
Over the past month, I rotated through Neurosurgery and Anaesthesiaโ2 specialties I absolutely love!
