ppl are hungry for signal, you just described it
@p8stie's point of u talking more about ur time away and some of the higher level things u learned there
(despite ur "meet people where they are" take)
I think would actually do very well here.
it feels like the algo is rewarding more slop that u described but if you have alfa in a real niche (you, duh)
IDT you have to play that game at all
wrong read
I think to say "white men have been discriminated in the west for decades so they don't have victim mindsets like black people must be will to power"
skipping a lot of steps IMO.
think about jewish people and said victim mindset
connection to the land or lack thereof + nature and length of said discrimination
internalizing a narrative/instilling a narrative takes a while. multiple generations and several other societal mechanisms.
@CaribbeanRythms everything is like this
it's not just sports
people who expose themselves to 0 risk laugh and point fingers at those who dare to try
yes its detestable, but the real takeaway is give no fucks about what anything thinks about you trying
how could you? why would you want to?

UFC fans are a weird breed of people.
How can you as a “spectator” sit safely on the sidelines and allow yourself the liberty of ridiculing fighters who would fold you like a lawn chair. This is fascinating to me. There’s something about the human psyche that’s being revealed here that someone with better prose could articulate.
So much confidence, so little risk. Little men casting big shadows. And they show this to the world proudly. It’s even more pronounced in fighting sports for some reason, appeals to a very primal instinct in man. Makes these spectators indulge in the feeling of combat while remaining completely removed from its reality. Living vicariously through your favorite gladiator.

I've been thinking about this but from a different angle
Agree that it's mental, but have a different reason as to why
Comes down to expectancy and how much effort you're expecting to exert on a given exchange
I take someone like Basset or Mesenbrink and instead of a kid that's playing, I see an athlete that expects that whatever first or second move he makes to not be THE only move.
Meaning that first shot, is never expected to be the takedown. They're expecting a reaction to open up the second or third shot.
Expectation is important here because if you gear up to shoot and it doesn't work, but you were expecting it to, you're gassed or dejected when you didn't get the result you wanted.
Rather than knowing the first move is just the beginning of a long road.
If I know that it's going to take XYZ to get to whatever position I want. But you think it's just going to take X...you're going to get tired much quicker, just because you're not settled into what's happening.
Applies to much more than sport.
Good post ^
@BioavailableNd do like one or two multiple times throughout the day as much as you can
if two is super easy, do 3 multiple times a day
never strain yourself, keep it easy
you'll be able to do 8 np by ~Nov
@bukowskiasagirl not sure if this is Jung/Freud from first principles i have no idea but I know this is a real thing just realizing it's damn near every "thing"
don't have this fully fleshed out yet but as time ticks on I realize any outward projection begins with some sort of unconscious internal...misalignment
you would think with Madonna-Whore it's "you have the wrong perception of women" which could still be true but
to realize you split your own self in two and all the ways that manifests outward is interesting
