We strongly condemn the detention of @IYC President @UdayBhanuIYC ji and several other members by the Delhi Police in connection with their protest at the AI Summit.

Protest is a fundamental democratic right, not a crime. The IYC members protested peacefully, without any provocation or violence. Their only “offence” was exposing how the Prime Minister stands compromised, something the Modi government clearly could not tolerate.

This detention is nothing but a blatant misuse of power and an attempt to silence dissent.

This detention is completely illegal.

After decades of driving others’ vehicles, he finally fulfilled a simple dream:
Just 30 days ago, he bought his first car on loan.

But a few days ago at the Taj Mahal Metro parking area, everything changed.

A group of extremists surrounded him and tried to force him to chant “Jai Shri Ram.”
When he refused, they threatened him:
