माझे वडील, पद्मश्री डॉ. डी. वाय. पाटील (दादा) यांचे आज 4 ऑगस्ट रोजी सकाळी 11 वाजून 8 मिनिटांनी वयाच्या 91व्या वर्षी निधन झाले.
त्यांच्या जाण्याने आम्हा सर्वांच्या आयुष्यातील आधारवड हरपला आहे. दादांनी आयुष्यभर माणसं जोडली, शिक्षणाचा दीप लाखो विद्यार्थ्यांच्या आयुष्यात प्रज्वलित केला, समाजसेवेला आपल्या जीवनाचे ध्येय मानले. आमच्यावर माणूस म्हणून जगण्याचे संस्कार दिले. त्यांचा प्रेमळ मायेचा हात, धीर देणारे शब्द आणि मूल्यांसाठी जगण्याची शिकवण हीच आमची कायमची संपत्ती आहे...ह्या भावना शब्दांत व्यक्त करणे अशक्य आहे.

बुधवार, दिनांक 5 ऑगस्ट रोजी अंत्यदर्शन आणि अंत्यसंस्कार होतील.

This ought to be very clear. The Parliament of India is ours. It is the people’s. The people of India, its children, were brutally beaten up, some blinded for life, by the Delhi Police and the RAF which is under the CRPF a central force.

Hence, their boss, Home Minister Amit Shah ought to answer for their crimes. Why is he not appearing before the Parliament for the last two weeks and answering for his force’s draconian brutality? After all, accountability ought to be fixed. Why is the Speaker Om Birla unable to compel the government to answer? It is his duty to remain impartial. Speakers that are coloured and politically biased ought to be made answerable too.

It is not a radical demand of the MPs to hold Amit Shah answerable before the Parliament for the Black Day that is 20th July 2026. It is a legitimate demand that should be IMMEDIATELY met so our Parliament functions.

उन्होंने कहा कि देश में ऐसा समय दूर नहीं जब सत्ता से सवाल पूछने पर उपद्रवी लोग मीडिया संस्थानों और स्टूडियो तक पहुंच जाएंगे।

उन्होंने कहा कि पिछले तीन वर्षों तक उन्होंने पूरी ईमानदारी से सत्ता से सवाल पूछे, लेकिन एक समय ऐसा आया जब उन्हें महसूस हुआ कि अब पहले जैसी स्वतंत्रता से सवाल करना संभव नहीं रह गया। इसी वजह से उन्होंने इस्तीफा देने का फैसला किया।

गरिमा सिंह ने कहा कि पत्रकारिता का मूल उद्देश्य सत्ता से सवाल पूछना और जनता की आवाज़ को सामने लाना है। उनका मानना है कि अगर पत्रकार स्वतंत्र होकर सवाल नहीं पूछ पाएंगे, तो इसका असर लोकतंत्र पर भी पड़ेगा।

पुलिस सुनवाई नहीं कर रही थी तो 26 साल की पिंकी ने थाने के अंदर ही जहर खा लिया है। अब पिंकी अस्पताल में गंभीर हालत में भर्ती है।

पिंकी के घर पर कुछ गुंडों ने अभद्रता और फायरिंग की थी। शिकायत के लिए पिंकी अपनी माँ के साथ थाने गई लेकिन महाराजपुर थाना में बैठाया रखा और सुनवाई नहीं की।
