Saudi analyst claims the ultimate nightmare for Iran: If Saudi Arabia enters the war, they will activate a defense pact with Pakistan and rally 50 Muslim nations against Tehran. A massive regional escalation could be imminent.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: When this whole thing started, Iran started shooting missiles all over the Middle East at countries that weren’t involved because they wanted to take over the Middle East.
We can’t let these lunatics have nuclear weapons because they’d use them.
Iran is attempting to put a dagger to the throat of the world economy.
We in Britain must remember what the Romans taught us: if you want peace, prepare for war.

Met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir. We discussed Iranian attacks on the Kingdom and the measures needed to halt them within the framework of our Joint Strategic Defense Agreement. We stressed that such actions undermine regional security and stability and expressed hope that the Iranian side will exercise wisdom and avoid miscalculation.
Exclusive: Russia is providing Iran with targeting information to attack American forces in the Middle East, the first indication that another major U.S. adversary is participating — even indirectly — in the war. https://t.co/SfBeKxq7zC
Tehran is now trying to export the war to as many countries as it can.
Today, EU Foreign Ministers and our Gulf partners will discuss what we can do together to break the cycle of violence.
The same drones that are attacking Kyiv, are now attacking our partners in the Middle East. So we will explore how we can support drone interceptor production.

The U.S. military used advanced AI to strike 1,000 targets in Iran within 24 hours, a tool that could be difficult for the Pentagon to give up even as it severs ties with the company that created it. https://t.co/dDQ8KoWdVT
Qatar has not been part of the campaign targeting Iran. We are exercising our right in self defense and deterring Iranian attacks against our country.
We urge media outlets to use credible Qataris sources when reporting on Qatar.
'The United States has requested permission to use British bases for that specific and limited defensive purpose. We have taken the decision to accept this request to prevent Iran firing missiles across the region,' UK PM Starmer said in a video message https://t.co/D2OvkHwNFn
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer says he’s accepted a request from the US to let his country’s military bases be used for attacks on Iran aimed at stopping retaliatory missile strikes. The UK had originally denied access over fears it violated international law.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: We are undertaking this massive operation not merely to ensure security for us, but for our children as well.
These actions are necessary to ensure Americans never have to face a radical bloodthirsty terrorist regime armed with nuclear weapons and threats.
Iran just attacked a French military base. Not an American base. Not a British base. A French base.
Camp de la Paix in Abu Dhabi, the first permanent French military installation outside of Africa in half a century, inaugurated by Nicolas Sarkozy in 2009 as the cornerstone of the France-UAE defense pact.
French Armed Forces Minister Catherine Vautrin confirmed that Iranian drones struck a hangar at the base, causing fires and limited material damage. No French casualties. But the damage that matters is not to the hangar. It is to the assumption that this war is between the United States and Iran.
The name of the base that Iran attacked translates to “Peace Camp.”
France was not part of the strikes that killed Ayatollah Khamenei. France called for de-escalation. Emmanuel Macron urged all parties to pursue diplomatic resolution and stated that the Iranian leadership must recognize there is no alternative to negotiations. Hours later, Iranian drones hit a French military facility. The IRGC’s targeting doctrine makes no distinction between the country that ordered the strikes and the countries that host military infrastructure in the Gulf. If you have a base within range, you are a combatant. Macron’s diplomacy was irrelevant to the trajectory of the incoming Shaheds.
Now France is responding. BFMTV reported on March 1 that the Charles de Gaulle carrier strike group is being redirected to the Eastern Mediterranean as France considers “defensive action” against Iran. The Charles de Gaulle is the only nuclear-powered aircraft carrier on earth that does not fly an American flag. Europe’s only CATOBAR carrier, the only non-US flattop capable of launching fully loaded fighters from steam catapults. For ORION 26 it embarked 20 Rafale M fighters, E-2C Hawkeye early warning aircraft, and a full escort including air defense frigates, a nuclear attack submarine, and warships from Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Morocco, and the United Kingdom.
Here is what makes this redirection seismic. The Charles de Gaulle departed Toulon on January 27 for ORION 26, France’s largest joint exercise, designed to test coalition operations under conditions approaching a major conventional conflict in Europe. It then transitioned to LA FAYETTE 26 in the North Atlantic and Baltic Sea, participating in NATO Baltic Sentry, Neptune Strike, and Cold Response. It was practicing for a European war against Russia. It is now being pulled south to face Iran.
That is a strategic reallocation from NATO’s northern flank to NATO’s southern flank in real time. The carrier that was protecting Baltic undersea infrastructure from Russian threats last week is now repositioning to project power against Iranian threats this week. One carrier. Two theaters. Two adversaries. And France has only one.
Simultaneously, the EU announced it will reinforce its Aspides naval mission in the Red Sea with two additional French warships. France, the United Kingdom, and Germany issued a joint statement declaring readiness to “take action” to defend their interests against Iran. Two nuclear weapons states and the three largest economies in Europe aligning military posture against Iran within 48 hours of the Khamenei assassination.
Camp de la Paix was built to face the Strait of Hormuz. Its dock can accommodate every ship in the French Navy except one: the Charles de Gaulle. The carrier is too large. So France’s most powerful warship will operate from the Mediterranean instead, projecting Rafale strike missions across a thousand miles of contested airspace. The base that anchored French power in the Gulf is burning. The carrier that was defending Europe from Russia is sailing toward Iran. And the war that was supposed to be between two countries now involves the military forces of at least five.
Peace Camp is on fire. And the peace it was named for has left the building. https://t.co/BrzGRrU3VW
BREAKING: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has authorized the Royal Forces to strike back against Iran if necessary, calling Iranian attacks on the kingdom "cowardly," CNN reports. MBS stated that Iran knows that Saudi airspace was not used for U.S. or Israeli strikes, and Tehran struck anyway.
President Trump launched strikes on Iran after a weeks-long lobbying effort by Israel and Saudi Arabia, according to four people familiar with the matter.
U.S. intelligence assessments saw no imminent threat, but regional allies argued to strike. https://t.co/NYyr3RiT6g
