VIDEO | Khordha, Odisha: The rhythmic sound of looms has echoed through the village of Routpada in Odisha's Khurda district for generations.

It signals the arrival of one of India's grandest religious festivals, the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath in Puri.

Around 25 families in the village are entrusted with weaving the sacred ceremonial attire for Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra for the festival.

Department of Remote Sensing & GIS, North Orissa University, Dr Debabrata Nandi says, "When I took our students on a tour, I noticed some fossil-like remnants there. We went to the local people and asked them what it was, and they said it was 'Asura hadda' (demon bones). After that, we investigated further and found several fossils, including microfossils such as shark teeth and shark vertebrae, along with some other elements that we haven't been able to identify yet. We are collaborating with palaeontologists at different palaeontology institutes. The fossils probably date back to 15 million years ago, to the Miocene period... If it weren't a marine belt, we wouldn't have found shark teeth or fossils of other sea animals. The presence of these fossils means there was a sea there. The sea has now receded about 60 km away from Baripada. Everyone should study why it receded so far... We can develop it as a geo-heritage site or promote geo-tourism here..."

While the #NEET paper leak and CBSE fiasco are deplorable, the leadership of #DharmendraPradhan as Minister has been good. The OSM, when it works well, will bring transparency in evaluation. NTA reform that he initiated will fix a long-pending problem. He can certainly do better.

The #NTA #CBSE crisis needs exactly this- bold, systemic reform. If anyone can fix the structural rot in our education system, it's the man who proved that where there's political will, transformation follows. #DharmendraPradhan done it before and can do it now.

As Petroleum Minister #DharmendraPradhan, he scrapped the old LPG chaos: introduced walk-in connections & same-day delivery. The LPG reform wasn't a small tweak-it dismantled a decades-old lethargy & rebuilt it around the citizen.

The analysts will attribute the failure of #cjp_पार्टी protest #Cjp_Movement to its name- #indiarejectsCJP because CJP got its name from BJP. It will do well if it changes its name to Cockroach Admi Party (CAP) or Indian Cockroach Congress (ICC), or Cockroach Party of India (CPI)
