Karachi Marathon is taking place on 4th of January 2026. Come out and run to showcase our city, a progressive, inclusive and a tolerant Karachi #HamaraShehar

Karachi Marathon Race Director Shoaib Nizami met Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, briefing him on the marathon’s plans and how such events can positively impact the city. Nizami also presented the Mayor with the official race shirt, while Murtaza Wahab assured full support from Karachi’s administration for a successful event.

Met some incredible kids from Ali Model English School in Korangi, Karachi all preparing for their first-ever 5km run at the Karachi Marathon.

One girl wants to run for her mother, a polio worker who walks nearly 20km daily to protect children. Another wants her medal to be the answer to taunts she hears while training. A young boy said this 5km is just the beginning and one day, he’ll run the full 42km.

This is what @khimarathon26 truly offers: a platform for children to dream, to speak, and to believe.
Grateful to @shoaibnz for building this community.

I went to motivate them and I came back inspired.
