I'm Indonesian, live in Indonesia, and somehow I can sit through Singapore's National Day Messages from start to finish, including speeches from its last two PMs during periods of uncertainty.

I even play "Majulah Singapura" often enough to sing along.

Indonesian presidential speeches? Never watched one end-to-end. BJ Habibie is the only exception I can actually listen to.

Not an ounce of nationalism for Indonesia in me. I live here simply because, for now, I have to.
