In our fourth #SmartFarming story, we had the pleasure of speaking with Bradley and Charlene, farmers based in Swartberg, KwaZulu-Natal. They specialize in grain and potato farming and have been working with us for the past two to three years.
The programme will be backed by a R7.5M from @Bayer4Crops as an ecosystem and launch partner to support the farmers over the next 12 months to become funding-ready and participate more meaningfully in formal markets.

We recently hosted our annual Stakeholder Event in Johannesburg. This is where we bring together some of our farmers, partners, and key stakeholders to look back at the past year, and share our plans for the year ahead.
A look back at one of our training session with @Kagiso_Trust in partnership with Subtrop Association held in December last year. As we prepare for the training sessions that will be taking place this year.
We covered crop nutrition, protection, and seed selection for vegetables — with real conversations, real questions and real learning in the room. Our agronomy team also did a soil sampling demo, showing farmers how to take proper samples and why it matters for crop performance.
We kicked off our first Gauteng training session for the Market Access Programme with @Kagiso_Trust last week, and what a great start it was. The session focused on practical ways to improve yields through better production planning.

This week marked the official launch of the @Kagiso_Trust and Khula! Market Access Programme. We brought together industry leaders, funders, agribusinesses, development partners, and commodity groups to explore how this initiative will roll out across South Africa.
Guests also got an exclusive preview of the training content and the digital tools designed to help farmers improve productivity and access new markets.
