This Bridgerton life is sweet o. Just wake up, drink tea, read newspaper, take a stroll in the garden, host a ball and look for husband or wife. No stress, no work, no traffic 😭
There are so many different ways / platforms to reach out for help if you need it. Some of us can feel self-conscious about reaching out because of the stigma around Mental Health which is why @GiveUsAShout is perfect if you need support anonymously #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek
Having such a wonderful day at the Black Maternal Health Conference UK 2024 hosted by @MotherhoodGroup. As a Black Mother it's so important to have these safe spaces to be heard and for our experiences to be validated 💕 #BMHCUK24#BMHCUK

Let's come together as a community to ensure black women feel heard, respected and cared for throughout their pregnancy and childbirth experiences. By advocating for improvements in maternal healthcare and providing social support, we can help address racial disparities and make sure no mother feels ignored or dismissed.
We still have spaces for our stay & play session next week.

Listening deeply to the voices and lived experiences of black women and birthing people is a vital part of taking an anti-racist approach to improving Black maternal mental healthcare:
-Centering those impacted helps identify where care is undermined by systemic and interpersonal racism.
-Their stories reveal problem areas.
Black women can explain how racism affects their comfort level in seeking care and their health outcomes. This elucidates solutions.
-Provides insights that prevent reliance on stereotypes or biased assumptions in caring for black women.
-Creates accountability for healthcare workers to acknowledge and mitigate their own racial prejudices.
-Fosters trust by demonstrating to black families that their perspectives are valued and racism is taken seriously.
-Promotes empathy, cultural understanding and improving quality of care. #BMMHW23
I've just started watching #Manifest, I thought I'd hate it. I can't stop thinking about it though, I think I like it 😅. It better not be a long silly journey like #Lost
