@BookSavvy Also, my dad texts me and then gets kinda grumpy about me not getting back to him when I respond by text instead of calling. I've learned he can send a text but doesn't really get how to receive one.

[Amanda Blau @kidzlibrarian]

@BookSavvy Change is hard. Change when your memory is slipping must be very hard. Just wanting your dad to carry a modern phone so you can help him and having him resist, also hard. Hugs.

@PufferKinders @HPDreamTeam Ivan told me all about working with his buddy. The 6th graders are loving it too.

@kdtoonen 100% Public librarians need to like people as much as if not more than they like books.

[Hank Green @hankgreen]

This should maybe go without saying but...don't take life advice from miserable people.

[Amanda Blau @kidzlibrarian]

@TLT16 You made me snort my coffee.

[Amanda Blau @kidzlibrarian]

@boothheather Where does my being a "library Nazi" rank against your esteemed title of being "the worst"?

[Amanda Blau @kidzlibrarian]

@boothheather As the "worst mother ever," I salute you.

[Amanda Blau @kidzlibrarian]

@BookSavvy As I looked at risk charts to wrap my head around assessing COVID risks, I was like, well birthing my kids was epically riskier than COVID.

[Tammy Duckworth @SenDuckworth]

Retweet if you’d like to see the Senate defend our democracy and move forward on legislation to protect the freedom to vote for every American.

[Amanda Blau @kidzlibrarian]

@storytimekatie Yup. And coming back to work feeling connected and with so many sparkly plans and so much energy.

[Amanda Blau @kidzlibrarian]

@Lisabarian @mz_christie I take karate classes and have a punching bag in my basement. Exercise with kicking and punching seems to fight anxiety for me.

[Amanda Blau @kidzlibrarian]

Made a penguin to use with Caspar Babypants' song Frozen Penguin. Much fun in preschool storytime today. @casparbabypants

[Amanda Blau @kidzlibrarian]

@Karnythia In the month of December?

[Amanda Blau @kidzlibrarian]

@EmmetMadly Yup. Kind over polite every time.

[Amanda Blau @kidzlibrarian]

@librarianpirate @FairGameStore Yay!

[Amanda Blau @kidzlibrarian]

@alizateach @aprilpsayre Her books will be read in my storytimes for years to come.
