PlateDiary 2.0!!! , My official entry for @RevenueCat shipaton got a major redesign. Created using @expo. Special thanks @getnoise for the organic UGC that helps my app reach many people that motivates me to redesign the entire app. #buildinpublic#shipaton
My #Shipaton entry for PlateDiary 2.0 ๐ฝ๏ธ
A simple convo with Pau about the nachos we had last year โ and a little look at how PlateDiary helps you find, remember, and share moments like these.
Because sometimes itโs not really about the food. Itโs about the memory that remains.
@Joshua_WD@RevenueCat@expo@getnoise Feedback shaped the redesign, and Premium sales validated that PlateDiary needed a stronger, more consistent identity. Glad the update was approved just before Shipaton ends ๐ even https://t.co/db2eFrta87 website got redesign as well :D
@getnoise My proudest Shipaton feature is offline native image segmentation on iOS & Android ๐ธ
It detects and separates food from a photo, making each dish easier to save.
Seeing it reach 1K+ active users in ~2 weeks, plus Lifetime purchases, feels huge as a solo builder ๐
@getnoise My favorite update to PlateDiary has been adding animations, motion, and micro-interactions throughout the app โจ
From smooth transitions to subtle feedback with every tap, these small details make the experience feel more alive, responsive, and premium.

Iโd adapt it for PlateDiary as: โEverything I ate this week as someone who takes a picture before every bite.โ Each slide shows a meal with an honest rating or short memory, ending with how PlateDiary keeps your favorite food saves from getting lost in your camera roll. ๐ธ๐

@austnstuff Im using expo, and native code on swift and android for that pulling of images. It works even offline. The same logic when turning the images into stickers
