@TessaDare I don't think I've ever expected to get a response when writing to an author for any reason. TBH if an author had a contact form I assumed they had an assistant who would read and summarize for the author as needed, possibly sending out a signed bookplate now and again.

@bjaudette @chrislhayes I think the point is that a lot of people stopped writing blogs and used twitter instead, so the depth and breadth on RSS feeds is just not the same as it once was. I use Feedly and have for years but there aren't hundreds of interlinked blogs like there was.
