Some of these girls in Kigezi communities were married off young & because of not being able to study have very low self esteem. We has changed the story 4 many of them. They are more confident & know that contributing to the welfare of their family & community is their right.
Since Thursday, I was in Kakumiro district, I had to interact with the youth and Teenage mothers, we found out that the only source of their income is farming, and once drought affects them them life become misery, we resolved to have a community empowerment through skills
We are so grateful to have visitors from University of Winchester as well as the Ethics Committee, Tomorrow we shall visit some of our beneficiaries for assessment of their activities/ products they are producing mostly "The Teenage pregnancy mothers and the youth "
Stand with us and fight this, and if already happened lets stand together to empower them with handsets on skill for their life sustaining and their children.
