Ngl it’s exhausting hearing athletes break down how their millions “aren’t really millions” after taxes and fees. 40M after taxes is still 40M.
The real issue isn’t the system, it’s lifestyle creep. Nobody told you to live like a king, buy 5 cars, or move with a 10‑person entourage. Modest is allowed.
@Alottotake@mukyalaNeighbor Most women are below 5'5ft tall
Random woman: Thats a lie, I have a friend who is 5'8ft and another who's 5'10ft.
Crazy people we are dealing with.
@YoungFreddye@cptdankkk Well I gave an example of LeBron which you chose to ignore and slid jaylen in there which is quite lazy. Are you saying private companies cant offer shares to anyone as compensation?? And secondly endorsement money is not team compensation to a player.
@randomworldke If you read enough, you'll know that having a low birth rate is already biting them. Having 1 kid is not really a cool thing for any economy that should be encouraged.
@YoungFreddye@cptdankkk why not in a private entity, silicon valley companies pay their valuable employees with company stocks(ownership). if a guy is consistently adding half a billion dollar value to a company, a 50m pay cheque isn't fair compensation however much you think it is.
@YoungFreddye@cptdankkk The top players can't get compensation thats near the value e they generate for the team due to salary caps in place. No NBA team can pay a guy like LeBron James what he's worth. 50m is alot but what if said player is generating 300m of value annually?, equity then
@toiquidator@Shekwo_Ezekiel@stoolpresidente Well y'all said best athletes now you're capping. I wonder why Usain bolt isn't the greatest footballer ever, he played pro football and wasn't good at all
@toiquidator@Shekwo_Ezekiel@stoolpresidente So LeBron James or Miles garret aould be better players than Messi or CR7 or Mbappe. If you actually believe that shit then you absolutely don't know what you're talking about
Jaylen Brown's statement after being traded from the Boston Celtics to the Philadelphia 76ers:
First and foremost, thank you to the Most High, even in the midst of adversity. I'm here with gratitude.
I’m still processing how this all went down. I’m excited and disappointed at the same time. I earned my respect from this city. I never asked for shortcuts or special treatment. I simply showed up every day, put my head down, and accepted every challenge.
The relationships I built here, the battles we fought together, the championship we brought to this city, and the connection I shared with the fans, I’ll carry on with me.
Saying goodbye isn’t easy when you’ve invested your heart into something.
I’m big on respect and actions speak louder than words. To the people of Boston, thank you. To the community I built here I love you, and to the shiftaz we are locked in for life⚡️
As one chapter closes, another begins.
I’m excited for what’s ahead and grateful for the opportunity to join Philadelphia. Every city has its own identity, its own passion, and its own expectation. I respect that, and I’m looking forward to earning that respect the only way I know how.. through the work.
Philly - throw the ball up let’s get it!
