In @WildfireGame we'd no way of detecting if the PC had an integrated GPU, which wouldn't run our fluid dynamics fire shader. So behind the dev logos on startup is a performance test of the screen filled with fire; if it goes under 30fps we swap the shader for a 200-frame sprite.
