Unity just released an experimental UI Toolkit Connector for Figma design. Now you can design your game UI in Figma, import it into Unity, and send style changes back to Figma.

🔴Cuidado con el uso de strings que puede dar problemas por consumo de memoria, asignaciones y rendimiento. Usadlo con sabiduría 🧙♂️

Fun fact! You can set up the Input System to have an action only trigger when another input is held down first without writing any code. Here’s an example of how to set it up so your camera only rotates while right click is held.

⚙️ Game Dev Hack: Save memory & draw calls on modular assets! Use vertex colors to tint a single grayscale texture atlas. Multiply it in Unity Shader Graph, and one material can texture your whole level! 🎨✨ #unitytips #techart #indiedev
Unity discards scene changes you make in Play mode when you press stop. You can’t turn that off, but you can tint the editor so you always know you’re in Play mode. Here's how.

⚙️ Game Dev Hack: Disable "Read/Write" in Unity texture imports unless a script modifies pixels at runtime! Leaving it checked stores a copy in both CPU & GPU memory, silently doubling RAM usage for no reason. Optimize early! 📉💾 #unitytips #indiedev
💡 Tip of the Day: Save memory with a master color palette! 🎨 UV unwrap low-poly models into scaled-down dots and place them on a single 256x1px gradient texture. Perfect for flat-shaded indie games! 📦✨ #TechArt #UnityTips #IndieDev
#UnityTips Unity 6.6 lets UI Shader Graph modify vertices. Animate waves, tint, UVs, and transitions on the GPU without rebuilding UI meshes every frame. #gamedev
⚙️ Game Dev Hack: Need scrolling textures for water or conveyors? Don't use a C# script! Just use the `_Time` node in Unity Shader Graph to offset your UVs. It runs completely on the GPU, saving you precious CPU time! 🌊 #UnityTips #gamedev
⚙️ Game Dev Hack: Need cheap wind for foliage? Paint branch tips with Vertex Colors (Red channel). In Unity Shader Graph, multiply your wind sine wave by the Red vertex color. Roots stay still, leaves sway! 🍃🌬️ #techart #unitytips #indiedev
Senior Tech Artist @artofsully breaks down a quick fix: both characters move at the exact same velocity, but scaling the animator playback speed turns sluggish, sliding motion into a responsive, grounded stride.

Ya os he dicho que podéis convertir el Start() en una corrutina pero no os he dicho que los métodos OnTrigger y OnCollision también podéis convertirlos en corrutinas 🔥

⚙️ Game Dev Hack: Cheap foliage wind! 🍃 Paint vertex colors on meshes (Black=roots, White=tips). In Unity Shader Graph, multiply a Sine(Time) node by vertex color for instant rig-free sway. A massive CPU saver! 🌳💨 #unitytips #techart #gamedev
Goal or Plan mode? 🤔
Here’s how to use both with AI assistants in your Unity game development workflow ⚡👇

Unity 6.6 adds a Build Analysis window!
After builds, it inspect reports from Library/BuildHistory to understand build output and history.

💡 Tip of the Day: Making stylized foliage? Point the vertex normals of your leaf planes straight up (or outward as a sphere). This removes harsh shadows and creates fluffy, evenly lit tree canopies in Unity! 🌳✨ #techart #unitytips #indiedev

Gira el player hacia el cursor del ratón -> Usamos raycast desde la cámara para la posición del ratón y Quaternion.LookRotation para calcular la rotación del personaje hacia ese punto. Probadlo👀

⚙️ Game Dev Hack: Need cheap stylized water? Pass a scrolling noise texture into your mesh's Vertex Position in Unity Shader Graph. You get instant wavy movement without expensive physics or complex rigs! 🌊✨ #unitytips #techart #indiedev
