Around the Milky Way galaxy our home galaxy. 🫡 The Milky Way is part of a "family" of galaxies called the Local Group (or Virgo Cluster) within this local group the Milky Way is drawn to Andromeda galaxy which is also part of the group and is on a collision course with us(Milky Way). Apart from that the entire local group made up of 56 galaxies are travelling towards what's called the Virgo Supercluster which contains about 110 galaxies. This super cluster is also travelling towards what is called the Great Attractor of unknown size due to it lying on the same plane of our galaxy which requires us to look through the dust and the stars withing our galaxy to see it, which is rather difficult.
Without digressing too much, this entire space, the local group and the virgo supercluster and the great attractor are part of a large structure that we coined Laniakea. Boasting over 100 thousand galaxies, Laniakea itself is being pulled towards an even larger cluster of galaxies called the Shapley Supercluster. You might think that this is it but it's being debated that there's an even larger cluster of mass that is beyond the observable universe which is acting on a large part of the sky including us and we are all travelling towards that. This is called the dark flow. Dark because it lies outside the observable universe I imagine.
So,
Milky Way -> Local Group
Local Group -> Virgo SuperCluster
Virgo Super Cluster -> Great Attractor
Great Attractor -> Shapley Supercluster
Shapley Supercluster -> Dark Flow
Like nested dolls thrown up in the air, we are flowing in the cosmic river.
