@WhatThe_Lee@EndymionYT Men, especially right wing men have always been the biggest crybaby bullies about women "invading" their spaces, because they don't want to be called out for their absolutely vile and disgusting views and words. To them women in games should just be sex objects.
@ToomiYuna Video games are a visual medium first and an interactive medium second. You literally cannot play without video. And anyone would watch a video of a fame before playing a video game with no video. And actually the definition of fan can be looked up and has no such specifics.
@Supersecretthro@ToomiYuna It's more accurate because someone will watch an entire play through which isn't comparable to a video essay, but an audio book. But you're too retarded to realize that.
@wobowobi@RespectElves Nobody said either of those things, but good strawman dumbass. You can be a fan of a book through audio books and you can be a fan of a game through videos. It's pretty simple. Nobody ever said you can play a game through a video.
@i_steal_pianos@BringBackBanjoK Like I don't know how you manage to function in life if you can't see how my question clearly shows how horseshit your response is. But then again, what should I expect from a bunch of insecure losers who need to feel elitist about video games to make up for your sad lives?
@i_steal_pianos@BringBackBanjoK Not moving the goalposts at all if you have a brain. Both mediums are primarily visual. Hence, VIDEO game. You cannot play games without video. And watching a video of a game is better than playing a game with no video.
@curdled1984@RespectElves That is absolutely ridiculous lmao. You think people who watch a movie all have the exact same opinions on things? Streamers and their chat argue all the time about games. Acting like experiencing a game through a streamer means you can only view it through that lens is silly.
@alucardol666@curdled1984@RespectElves But you can experience the interactivity second hand from watching gameplay. I have watched and played telltale games. Both experiences are very similar. It depends on what type of game it is, but in some cases the experiences really aren't that different.
@curdled1984@alucardol666@RespectElves But the game does still have those aspects when you watch it. You're just not the one interacting with it. I still don't see why someone can't be a fan without personally playing it themselves because they still get to see all aspects of it including the interactions.
@curdled1984@RespectElves Also, what is this straw man that people who watch games can only develop opinion based on the streamers they watch from? Some ppl do this sure, but definitely not everybody.
@curdled1984@RespectElves You can talk with them about literally every aspect of the game except for the gameplay. They can talk about characters, story, visuals, audio, dialogue, etc.
@curdled1984@RespectElves I never denied that interactivity is what separates games from movies/shows, but it's still not the most fundamental aspect of video games. The video part is.
@curdled1984@RespectElves "I admit that someone watching does miss a critical element of games just like someone watching a movie without audio does, but you can still absolutely be a fan without it."
