Our Naga women have always been the backbone of our society. It’s time we equip them with the knowledge, platforms, and opportunities to lead and transform public welfare for a stronger, more inclusive Nagaland.

On the ‘International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking’, urged churches, mothers’ associations, youth organisations, and student unions to proactively collaborate and form an unbreakable multi-layered shield to create drug-free local zones across all parts of the state.

Also expressed deep concern about the safety and well-being of women, children, and all vulnerable members of society. Urged the investigating agencies to ensure justice at the earliest in the recent cases of child abuse and sexual harassment.

Met Shri Anil Malik, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, along with my department officer.We briefed him on the various challenges faced in implementing welfare schemes, particularly in the remote and hard-to-reach areas of Nagaland. I truly appreciated his patient hearing and thoughtful engagement.

We also extended a warm invitation to him to visit Nagaland, especially the eastern regions, to personally assess the ground realities of accessibility and connectivity.

Attended the One Day Awareness Programme on Child Rights organised by the Nagaland State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NSCPCR) at Town Council Hall, Mon on 29th April 2026. It was truly inspiring to join fellow speakers and participants in highlighting the importance of protecting our children's rights — from the Juvenile Justice Act to POCSO and the Right to Education. The future of Nagaland lies in safeguarding and empowering our children. I thank the entire NSCPCR team for this meaningful initiative. Happy to have been a part of the inauguration and dedication program of Langsa Hill Higher Secondary School at L/Sheanghah village. It is the first upgradation of a high school to a higher secondary level institution under my constituency.
The school has had a record of 100% HSLC results consecutively for the last 10 years, and largely caters to the educational requirements of villages under my 43-AC Tapi. Hoping the institute will produce model citizens in the years to come. Good luck, and God bless!

Took some time off from the festivities to personally inspect the progress of the road upgradation work from Lampong Sheanghah to Nyasa Village via Longphaoh, Shangnyu, in Mon District. Roads are basic infrastructural necessities required for economic and social developments, something which I am committed to bringing to my constituents in 43-AC Tapi, Mon.

Today marks a significant milestone for the people of 43-Tapi AC with the commencement of construction work for the upgradation of the road from Lampong Sheanghah to Nyasa village via Longphaoh and Shangnyu in Mon District. This long-cherished infrastructure project has been a decades-long aspiration for the communities in my Assembly Constituency. It is truly gratifying to witness this dream finally taking shape.
I am confident that improved connectivity will unlock new opportunities for socio-economic progress and development in the region in the years ahead.
