Providing every student across our state with free meals at school will support hardworking families and help ensure our kids don't have to skip meals or learn on an empty stomach.
We need universal free school meals in New York.
Blue city governance is important, but homelessness aside it's not like red states do better on crime, drug deaths, public health, etc. But by dint of red states' sprawl, social crises aren't as visible in downtowns - for instance ODs happen in cars and homes, not on sidewalks.
If we can just sue other states for things we don't like about them, then I would like to sue New Jersey over jughandles and not being able to pump my own gas.
I am firmly opposed to any attempt to force through a congestion pricing proposal in the final months of the Biden Administration.
My administration will continue the fight to block this plan in court.
Schatz says Dems should pump the brakes on the election takes:
“I think anyone who's got a neat and tidy theory of the case, exactly one week after we lost, is full of shit.”
“I think we need to take our time here and do some very, very hard thinking”
Anyone "reporting" that Trump named whoever to the "Department of Government Efficiency" should include in their tweets that such a department doesn't exist and can only be created by an act of Congress.
Great example of when you don't just have to repeat the made-up nonsense
"When you google “Jenna Maroney” now, I come up first - not the Jenna Maroney who electrocuted all those horses."
"That was you, Jenna."
Maybe my all time favorite 30 Rock quote.
"Each had their pros and cons. For example, Trump took away abortion rights, built an $8.4 trillion debt, and incited an insurrection when he lost to Joe Biden. Still, Kamala Harris’s economic plan needed a little more detail. It really was a toss-up."

Biden's economic theory was that you can rapidly increase the wages of the poorest workers and the ensuing inflation could be mitigated with a soft landing. This proved correct, and voters hated it so much that no one will ever try it again.
@stephanixmedina The comments from some people this week have been terrible and I'm so sorry. Please know there are many of us who do not believe that trans rights are negotiable and who are here to support you and fight for you. ❤️
Chin up, team. Take some time. Take care of yourself. Take care of your loved ones. Take care of your community.
There are a million ways to make a difference—get back in the fight when you’re ready.
And know that, whenever you are ready, I’ll be ready to get back in with you.
@downballotnews@fairvote This is pretty silly. If you leave your ballot blank on the first choice, it should be spoiled, regardless of who you voted for second.
My absolute favorite post-election activity is listening to people from across the political spectrum confidently say that if the Democrats had simply catered to their very specific pet issue, we would have won. GTFOH.
we went to grab coffee and saw, in our little tiny southern town, two trans teenagers wearing trans flags as capes and holding a sign that said "i will not hide"
