hi came back to say i worded this wrong like im very aware of martin using aave and why it could be seen as “acting black” especially because hiphop derives from black culture and that’s what their brand revolves around .. hiphop n rap music which they themselves have spoken about on multiple occasions but still saying acting black because of a few attributes still seems off to me it rlly goes every way with every race like someone isnt acting hispanic for dancing merengue , salsa , bachata, etc. , eating hispanic foods, using slang or an accent when speaking spanish ( like pr or dr type of slang ) doesn’t mean they are acting hispanic , they are appreciating the culture. this isnt js about cortis it’s a universal statement that goes for soso many situations and people
