Hala Ismael Al-Talla was forced to leave her home in Gaza’s Middle Area after the house she lived in with her family was shelled and her leg was broken.

She managed to get treatment at Al-Aqsa Hospital, but the medical staff did not have the capacity to perform a skin graft, which she urgently needed.

When the hospital came under attack, Hala and her family fled for safety again, this time to Rafah.

Hala was able to receive care at MSF-supported Rafah Indonesian Field Hospital. But attacks in Rafah have intensified recently, and Israel has threatened a ground invasion, which will be devastating for the nearly 1.5 million people gathered there, including Hala and her family.

Gaza UPDATE: In the past 48 hours, MSF staff report shots fired at people inside Nasser hospital.

Two people were killed, five others injured, including one nurse who was severely wounded.

Medical staff are afraid to move within and around the hospital due to fear of being shot.
