New Yorker: “Private equity and predatory landlords destroyed this city.”
NBC: “Okay, we’re done here.”
Say the quiet part out loud on live TV and suddenly the interview is over.
Funny how “free speech” disappears the moment you blame the people actually cashing the checks.
3. #LongCovid is a poverty sentence. Despite 10k+ studies of biological abnormalities, there’s still no approved treatments or disability support.
I was just denied disability support at court hearing after 3 yr process.
If this happens to you, it will fall on you & your family
4 days out from my life-changing surgery, @Aetna has denied the appeal for my brain surgery.
to be clear, when i signed up to aetna months ago, the coordinator had confirmed they would cover this surgery. then, a week ago, they said the surgery was too experimental/elective and denied coverage. we appealed. that appeal was just denied today.
now, my neurosurgeon is trying to do a peer-to-peer consult with someone at aetna to explain why i need it so we don’t lose the surgery date on monday morning. aetna is not being responsive.
this is sadistic and a violation of basic trust. please spread this so they can’t ignore it. they may not care if i live or die but people should know just what kind of company they’re dealing with. and please pray they are able to have a peer-to-peer consult with my neurosurgeon and have a change of heart.
My agency (https://t.co/8Wcn3jHPjz) did the design for Zohran’s campaign.
While I wish I played a part, it was all the masterful work of my partners, Aneesh and Phil.
Having worked with these 2 for close to a decade, it’s no surprise they created what many consider (the most?) iconic political branding.
I’ve seen Aneesh go deep into the archives of typography and color theory, and Phil spend hours custom-building animations to bring a UI to life.
HYPED to see their work getting the credit it deserves.
Whatever happens tomorrow, never forget that this doggedly positive and hopeful campaign—in every way a fight for basic dignity and joyful celebration of democratic pluralism—was relentlessly denounced by political and media elites as something sinister, dangerous, and violent.
Some personal news: I’m preparing to run for Zohran’s Assembly seat.
As a Queens mom, an immigrant organizer, and a democratic socialist, I’m ready to fight for the working people of Queens! LET’S WIN THIS!🔥

The dream of every Muslim is simply to be treated the same as any other New Yorker.
And yet, for too long, we have been told to ask for less than that, and endure hatred and bigotry in the shadows.
No more.
