@yo_pogo94@Flux_cc Zonnon had just finished a full junior season with playoffs. That much hockey is taxing for a teenager. He also was brand new to the system. Nobody is ever going to just hand him the top minutes in that scenario
@BMaz1 A 66 point winger is not worth $11M especially when he’s already 30. Do you know how often and how fast players crater after 30? Not to mention he plays a physical game. Buffalo also has assets to replace him through trade.
@NotTheJoeMarino You can just put Danforth in Rochester all honesty.
That is a pretty wild overpayment for Krebs in my opinion. I understand center versatility, but he barely scored more than Connor Dewar who signed $2.25M as a UFA. At that rate he can have a 1 year deal and then hit the road.
@NotTheJoeMarino@Charles27188576 Mrkta is better as a prospect than Thompson was. Late first is a wash. Norris is much more talented than Sobotka and Berglund, but I do think it’s a bit of a wash due to health.
@NotTheJoeMarino@Charles27188576 Larkin has a NTC and is almost 30 though. I mean, look at the ROR return in a similar situation: a mediocre young player (Tage was not a high end prospect), two mediocre third liners - 1 of which quit playing, a late first for a top line center with elite metrics.
@mukmuk0001 Why are people not including Buffalo at all? One of the best teams in the NHL only getting better, need a center, Larkin could play with Tage. Could give Norris+
@JoeRay119@NotTheJoeMarino That would be such a bad idea. Pettersson has played like dog crap for a few years and he’s small and soft. He’s not built for winning hockey, he’s built for loser teams like Vancouver. We need more tenacity like Benson and Doan, not Charmin Ultra Soft players who won’t go hard
@MikeBartner Sabres have a huge pool of trade assets and an obvious need at center. Could even send back Josh Norris if Red Wings don’t want to rebuild
@PensML@steelerpens7 Horrible offer lmfao. A guy who cannot stay healthy or skate well, an AHL defenseman and a 2nd round pick for a top 6 center signed long term. Brain rot
@JoshYohe_PGH@richard_clock1 It still doesn’t fit any kind of timeline we have. $8.7M Dylan Larkin in his mid 30s when Sid retires is not a good spot to be in.
@QuinnVogt49Gold Big “IF” and if he bounces back he’s still a soft little bitch who can put up points in the regular season. Elias isn’t a player for a winning program, he belongs in Vancouver
@AGretz@Pensburgh Laine is nothing but a PP merchant. I’d rather get Kindel/Chinakhov closer to PP1 than sign a 1 year deal on a guy who blocks them. He provides nothing at 5v5 we could want.
@AndrewHeaters@thesherm87 Tuch will fall off of a cliff within a few years of any extension. His play style does not age well into the 30s. You cannot be this dense.
@JoshYohe_PGH@deafyinzer Get ahead of the curve. Highsmith is on two years, Watt is already slowing down.
If anything they should race to move Highsmith at peak value. He’s nearly 30 and they already held Watt long past his peak value. You’re not getting an instant success QB any time soon
@tuneofhockey@JOSHD0AN91 He gave up basically nothing for depth. What you have to understand is there were NO sellers at the deadline. Most of the league was still trying to make the playoffs.
