@tengyanAI I don’t believe it’s apples to apples regarding compute. OpenAI has a billion WAU that generate images etc. A better comparison is enterprise to enterprise compute which I suspect is a much more level playing field
This mirrors something @MartinShkreli talked about and I covered last year. Test time compute to solve ultra scale problems.
Ex. A fortune 100 asking how they can raise EPS by $.10, the answer is worth a lot, so maybe willing to spend millions of dollars on test time compute to find it

The simple reason why almost everyone is still underestimating memory is that memory is surfing the trend of all AI inference - a market 100x the eventual size of AI training.
Does your average agent need to be that much incrementally smarter? Or would you rather have it flawlessly remember your entire life and context?
My bet is on the latter.

@MetacriticCap I don’t really think that would’ve worked tbh. Perhaps investing in Anthropic (like Amazon and Google) rather than tying themselves solely to OpenAI
@puppyeh1 Re check size for BABA that’s fair. I think you have to look at it on dollars in vs dollars out for investing. The resulting IRR from investing is incredibly high, despite the zeroes
