When people accuse #ADOS of “playing the victim”, they don’t understand that real victims are made, not played.

We are real victims, whereas victims of “reverse discrimination” are *playing* the victim. Theirs is a game of pretend & make-believe. Ours is a harsh reality of usury & dehumanization.

And for legitimate victims of racist systems, people & institutions, there is a necessary distinction between our internal lives & our external lives.

Yes, America owes us reparations, & must pay us in the same way it has already paid other groups. But in no way does that imply that we don’t put forth 110% effort to make it through this life & take advantage of every opportunity that comes our way.

The idea that we’re all just lying around waiting for a fat check is right up there with the racist Welfare Queen trope.

What we’re doing is managing our internalities & externalities as best we can. We go to work & compete & love our families etc. But the plunder looms, & the fight continues.

Flat Blackness as a unifier is a figment of many of their imaginations. Far too many don’t have the social tool box for this discussion. Just living in erasure of the cost of being #ados masked in flat Blackness as a source of power. Rather than honestly seeing it as a tool to escape the reality of lineage and its cost in #ados families in the United States.
