I really want you to learn cybersecurity.

There are over 500,000 job opportunities in the US alone for you if you learn it well. You can earn up to $12,000 or more every single month from the comfort of your house. Fully remote. I'm not even joking.

It is quite expensive to learn through traditional routes, but I will show you how to get started for almost nothing.

- Download Coursera from Google Play or the App Store.
- Learn the basics of cybersecurity there. You can start for free with a 7-day trial. After that, it costs $49 per month. If you are dedicated, you can complete the basics in 2 months, meaning your total cost is under $100.

- Then follow up on YouTube. These three channels will take you from zero to job-ready:

1. NetworkChuck: breaks down hacking, tools, certifications, and Linux in a way that does not feel overwhelming. Perfect for beginners.

2. The Cyber Mentor (Heath Adams): practical penetration testing skills, step by step. I specifically recommend this channel for people starting from scratch.

3. John Hammond: real-world security challenges, malware analysis, and CTF walkthroughs. Follow him once you have the basics.

- Take them seriously. It should take 3 to 6 months depending on how fast you move.

- Work on projects to strengthen your skills. Practice daily on platforms like TryHackMe and Hack The Box. Before you know it, you will stand out.

Let me show you what the real pay looks like:

- Entry level: $65,000 to $90,000 per year

- Mid-level (2 to 5 years): $100,000 to $150,000 per year

- Senior specialists and managers: $150,000 to $220,000+ per year

- Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs): $300,000 to $600,000 per year

There are over 3 million unfilled cybersecurity positions in the world right now and the number keeps growing.

Cybersecurity experts are rare and the skill is in high demand. Once you master it and put yourself out there, you will be sought after the way the world chases crude oil and gold.

Dear you, between the ages of 21 and 29.

1. Open a mutual fund investment account.

2. Start making a monthly deposit of anywhere between 30,000 and 200,000 naira. Whatever you can afford consistently. In 10 to 15 years, you will be a multimillionaire.

3. Invest in books. Buy financial and investment books and actually read them. I recommend:

- The Automatic Millionaire by David Bach
- I Will Teach You to Be Rich by Ramit Sethi
- The Little Book of Common Sense Investing by John C. Bogle
- The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason
- Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
- The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey
- The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas J. Stanley
- Your Money or Your Life by Vicki Robin
- Atomic Habits by James Clear
- Die With Zero by Bill Perkins

4. Exercise daily. Avoid sitting in one position for too long. Even if you work as a receptionist, stand up and stretch every 2 hours. Your health is your first investment.

5. One woman is enough for you. Avoid chasing multiple women. Womanizing is not a flex. It is a financial and emotional drain that will set you back years.

6. Take out at least 30% of your income every single month and put it to work. Invest in stocks. Invest in mutual funds. Invest in a business. Just invest.

7. Learn Cybersecurity. It is one of the highest paying and most in demand skills in the world right now.

8. Drink two glasses of warm water every morning before breakfast.

9. Wake up by 6am daily and try to be in bed by 10pm. Discipline in your sleep is discipline in your life.

10. This is the best time to start your investment journey. As you grow older, responsibilities will pile up and it becomes harder to set money aside. But if you build the discipline now, in 5 to 10 years you will already be addicted to investing and you will be glad you started when you did.

Your future self is watching every decision you make today. Make them count.

I started investing in mutual funds in 2018 because I wanted to buy a new phone. 😂

30,000 naira monthly. My first month interest was less than 100 naira. I literally laughed at myself. What kind of investment is this?

But I didn't withdraw. I just kept depositing. When my income grew, I increased my deposit. 50,000 monthly. Then 100,000. Now 150,000 every single month.

Today that investment generates almost 200,000 naira every single month in interest alone. My balance is now well over 10 million naira.

The phone I was saving for in 2018 probably cost around 150,000 naira. That same amount is now what my investment pays me every single month without me doing anything.

By next year I am increasing my monthly deposit to 200,000 naira. In 5 years, my monthly interest alone will be approximately 600,000 naira. Still without doing any work.

From saving for a phone to almost 200k monthly passive income. Same platform. Same principle. Just time, consistency and the discipline to never touch it.

Start for any reason. Stay for the result.
