We can’t reach out for help if we keep trying to protect how people see us. Sometimes wear the shame of your process and reach out as far as you can. You’re limitless!
After a year and five months, I’m officially closing a chapter.
In May 2025, I joined Mazerance as Lead Brand Designer & Illustrator. Today, my time with the company comes to an end.
During my time there, I had the opportunity to lead a team of exceptional talents and work across a broad range of creative disciplines: from logo icons and logotypes to custom typography, illustration packs, vector assets, brand design, pitch design, and game assets for UI designers.
More than the list of things I made, I’m grateful for the opportunity to solve problems through design, collaborate with talented people, lead a creative team, and contribute to building products and experiences.
I’m especially grateful for the teammates I worked alongside and appreciative of everything this chapter has taught me.
Now, it’s time for the next one.
I’m currently open to new opportunities in brand design, illustration, content, digital storytelling, and creative leadership. If you’re building something interesting and think my experience could be a good fit, I’d love to connect.
Here’s to new ideas, new challenges, and more things worth building. 🎉
You learn more when you stop talking about users and start talking to them.
I realized this while onboarding people onto @JumpaHQ at the @Nerdwork_ng Comic Con.
I got feedbacks and watch people react while using Jumpa.
At one point, you could tell someone was genuinely blown away by what they had just done.
Another person got to a part he didn’t understand immediately. He looked around, found the “Skip for now” option and continued pretty quickly.
It wasn’t a major issue, but it made me think that the button could be bigger or placed somewhere easier to notice.
He probably wouldn’t have mentioned that afterwards, but watching him use the product helped me notice it.
That was my biggest lesson from the experience. Sometimes, feedback isn’t only what people tell you. It’s also in the little pauses and how they find their way around.
I’d like to hear what you think about what we’re building at Jumpa too.
