‘THIS IS NOT A THREAT TO STOP OPERATIONS. THIS IS A NOTICE THAT OPERATIONS MAY SOON BECOME IMPOSSIBLE’
Nanawagan ang Victory Liner ng aksyon kay Pres. Bongbong Marcos at sa iba’t ibang ahensya ng gobyerno sa gitna ng patuloy na taas-presyo sa ilang produktong petrolyo.
“No industry can survive when its regulated revenue is lower than the actual cost of delivering its service,” saad nito.
“We do not ask for charity. We ask for urgent action. We ask for a fair and sustainable fare,” dagdag pa nito.

“The Supreme Court held that Congress's failure to do so for 39 years constitutes grave abuse of discretion,” saad ni Supreme Court Spokesperson Atty. Camille Ting.
“Despite changes in the composition of Congress over the years, no comprehensive anti-political dynasty law has been enacted, implying either a lack of interest, avoidance for convenience, or service of self-interest,” dagdag pa niya.
Former lawmaker and now San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan Mayor Rida Robes currently faces backlash for berating residents and allegedly harassing a councilor during a basketball game.

MAYOR CRASHES OUT AFTER GETTING RAGE-BAITED
San Jose del Monte, Bulacan Mayor Rida Robes was left dismayed after being greeted with chants of "tubig, tubig" by some attendees gathered at the Minuyan Sports Complex.
According to social media posts from various Bulacan residents, the intermittent and unreliable water supply has been a persistent, long-standing crisis plaguing multiple barangays across the city.
Local families and businesses have struggled with erratic service, often forcing residents to endure dry taps, queue for hours with makeshift containers, or rely on costly water delivery trucks just to meet their basic daily needs.
Despite repeated appeals to local authorities and utility providers, a lasting resolution has remained elusive, fueling mounting frustrations on the ground.

Akbayan Party strongly condemns the reported harassment and intimidation of Akbayan Councilor Atty. Ronalyn Pordan of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, allegedly by Mayor Rida Robes during a basketball game at the City Sports Complex on August 23.
In various photos and videos that went viral online, Robes was seen approaching Councilor Pordan, pointing and shouting at her in front of spectators. The incident reportedly followed the crowd’s chanting of “Tubig! Tubig!” when Robes entered the sports complex, apparently in reaction to the serious water issue faced by residents.
According to various accounts, Robes berated and confronted Pordan and accused her of instigating the crowd, which the councilor has strongly denied. There were also reports that people at the venue were made to surrender their mobile phones and forced to delete videos of the incident.
Akbayan stands with Councilor Pordan and calls for accountability over the incident. We demand that Mayor Robes explain her conduct and issue an apology. Public office demands respect and accountability, not a license to intimidate, silence, or evade responsibility. Akbayan also urges the citizens of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, to continue speaking up and expressing their grievances, even when their opinions and criticisms are uncomfortable for those in power.

‘TUBIG! TUBIG! TUBIG!’
LOOK: A local basketball game in San Jose del Monte (SJDM) was halted when Mayor Rida Robes paused the match to lecture attendees on respect after a crowd chanted “Tubig! Tubig! Tubig!” over the city's water crisis.
During the “Ate Rida’s Cup” at the Minuyan Sports Complex on Sunday, August 24, Mayor Robes expressed her dismay over the chanting. She reminded the youth and local officials to show her proper respect as a mayor, citing the local government’s contributions to Barangay Minuyan Proper, before leaving the venue in frustration.
Shortly after the incident, the SJDM City Youth Sports and Development Office and the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation released a joint statement condemning the "disrespectful" behavior. While acknowledging the residents' valid grievances regarding the frequent water interruptions, the offices maintained that there is a "proper time, place, and way" to express them without disrupting youth programs.
However, the statement quickly drew backlash online. Netizens criticized the local government for prioritizing a lecture on manners over providing a concrete solution and timeline for the water crisis. Many argued that accountability is not disrespect and that public officials should expect criticism when basic services fail. | 📷: CYSDO/Facebook via Danna Engracia, https://t.co/E0yNJSWpUY trainee
