🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 The chances of a temporary U.S.-Iran agreement remain evenly balanced as high-stakes negotiations continue. However, a key obstacle remains the absence of Iran's most powerful military institution from the negotiating table.

According to CNN, a senior Gulf official said there is a "50/50" chance that the United States and Iran will reach a provisional agreement on Friday.

The official added that Iran's delegation does not include representatives of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), even though the organization will ultimately have to approve the final terms of any temporary deal.

The report underscores the complexity of the negotiations, suggesting that even if diplomats reach a provisional understanding, the agreement may still depend on securing the backing of Iran's powerful security establishment.
