We're going around the Moon. Come watch with us. Artemis II's four-astronaut crew is lifting off from @NASAKennedy on an approximately 10-day mission that will bring us closer to living on the Moon and Mars. The launch window opens at 6:24pm ET (2224 UTC). https://t.co/X27QJejNDt
Shane Bieber will opt into his one-year, $16M player option with the Blue Jays, keeping him in Toronto for the 2026 season. 🙌

🌌 Interstellar Object 3I/ATLAS Gets Stranger: It Changed Color Again And Is Accelerating Beyond Gravity 🚨
☄️ Astronomers studying 3I/ATLAS, our third confirmed interstellar visitor, have discovered two shocking new things:
🔹 It has changed color again
🔹 It shows signs of non-gravitational acceleration as it swung closest to the Sun.
☄️ First spotted on July 1, 2025 by the ATLAS survey in Hawaii, its hyperbolic orbit (eccentricity 6.1–6.2) confirmed it came from outside our Solar System, joining ‘Oumuamua (2017) and 2I/Borisov (2019).
☄️ New observations show that 3I/ATLAS, which behaves like an object with distinct outgassing, may be a 10-billion-year-old relic — a time capsule from the early universe. Scientists still don’t know which part of the galaxy it came from.
☄️ During its closest pass to the Sun (perihelion) on Oct 29, the object was hidden behind the Sun. Harvard astronomer Avi Loeb joked that if it were an alien craft, it might “maneuver behind the Sun to stay out of sight” — though NASA and SETI scientists dismiss that theory.
☄️ As the object approached the Sun, NASA’s STEREO, SOHO, and GOES-19 satellites saw major changes:
✨ It brightened to magnitude 9
✨ Became bluer than the Sun
✨ And brightened far faster than normal Oort Cloud objects.
☄️ JPL’s Davide Farnocchia detected non-gravitational acceleration:
• Radial → 135 km/day²
• Sideways → 60 km/day²
Likely caused by outgassing jets pushing it slightly faster — not alien tech.
☄️ Loeb estimates it could lose 10 % of its mass within months due to violent outgassing — forming a massive gas plume visible in Nov–Dec 2025.
☄️ ESA’s JUICE spacecraft might even detect this plume in early November.
Early data suggest 3I/ATLAS may emerge from behind the Sun brighter than before — but its behavior remains mysterious.
☄️ Scientists think CO₂ activity cooled its surface earlier, delaying water vapor release — explaining its sudden brightening near the Sun.
☄️ As 3I/ATLAS moves away from the Sun, astronomers will keep watching closely. No one knows whether it will fade, stay bright, or surprise us again — but it’s already rewriting what we know about interstellar objects.
